Mini Design Challenge with Nuno Alves, Director of Global Brand Design / Restaurant Brands International

This 1-hour workshop provides a condensed design challenge experience. Students receive a mini design brief, develop a rapid concept, and present their ideas within a tight timeframe. The workshop concludes with constructive feedback and industry insights, offering a simulated interview scenario and an optional portfolio review session.

Nuno Alves is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in brand design and creative leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Global Brand Design at Restaurant Brands International, Nuno previously held the position of Head of Design at The Coca-Cola Company.

Join us for a hands-on workshop and discover how handmade paper can carry powerful messages of interconnectedness and co-create contributions to our community. Turn raw materials into meaningful connections and explore the art of paper-milling, guided by Fine Art students.

Samsara is a performative piece to honour the caretakers' efforts, recognising the determination and hardships of those in the field. The paper represents the pieces of themselves they give to those under their care. The sourcing of material from spaces of care carries the work with what was once the purpose and uses

*Materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own paper materials.

Dress Code: Black or dark comfortable clothing as the residue of the paper leaves a mark.

UAS Portfolio Night offers students a unique opportunity to receive direct, personalised feedback on their portfolios from leading creative directors and industry experts. In a dynamic, one-to-one setting, students gain practical advice and actionable tips to strengthen their portfolios and impress potential employers. UAS Portfolio Night is the final event of the Career Fair. Applicable for Arts and Design students from LASALLE and NAFA.
